Some alumni have all the fun…

Many of you have asked how you may become more involved, and the answer to that question is what would you like to become involved in? Would you like to serve on the Steering Committee? Assist with the Reunion? Help us with an educational outreach project, i.e., making a biomedical science presentation to a Houston elementary school? Be one of the hosts for a scientific research competition for undergrads? Be part of a growing list of benefactors who are acknowledged for their annual alumni donations to the scholarship funds?

When you as an alumni share GSBS’ current activities, benefits and hopes, the School is strengthened and so is your intellectual heritage as a graduate. Each of you is in fact a member of the Alumni Association—there are no dues collected, and this happens automatically upon graduation. However, to participate, you can help us develop all manner of interesting opportunities to connect, serve and enhance the School—and enjoy and learn from one another in the process. Your investment of time and support make all the difference in the personality of the GSBS; among other things, recruitment scholarships and student travel to scientific meetings. Your gifts of time help in countless ways from serving as In-Reach Mentors to attending the reunion and sharing your expertise. So, the answer to the first sentence question is really up to you!
