GS040013 Cell Biology
Morris, Andrew. Three semester hours. Fall annually. Prerequisite:
general background in biology and biochemistry. Enrollment limited to
GSBS degree students.
This course is designed to develop a functional understanding
of cell biology. It is organized into four general sections: I. Eukaryotic
cell organization and function; II. Dynamics of organellar components;
III. Physiological regulation of cell function; and IV. Cell-cell interactions.
The course format includes lectures, round-table discussions, and didactic
presentations. This is an introductory course with an interdisciplinary
emphasis for students in cell and regulatory biology programs. Fulfills
GSBS cellular areas breadth requirement.
