GS040063   Cancer Biology

Gallick, Gary. Three semester hours. Fall annually. Prerequisite: general knowledge of biochemistry or consent of instructor.

A lecture course on aspects of recent progress and active research in cancer biology. Topics will include tumor/host interactions, metastasis and invasion, tumor cell biochemistry, tumor heterogeneity, therapy, cell surfaces, and development aspects. Introductory course for Interdisciplinary Studies in Cancer Biology. Fulfills GSBS systems area breadth requirement.
