GS130024   Mechanisms of Hormone Action and Signal Transduction

Clark, Richard. Four semester hours. Spring even-numbered years. Prerequisite: Background in biochemistry

A detailed exploration of the biochemical basis of hormone action with emphasis on recent developments. The course will include both the regulation of the cyclic nucleotide, calcium and phospholipid second messenger systems, and the mechanisms of action of steroid hormones.
