ADMISSION DEFICIENCIES Some students admitted to the Ph.D. program have not met all of the admission requirements. Such deficiencies are noted in the letter of admission from the Dean. Students are strongly encouraged to repair these deficiencies prior to enrollment so they will not be delayed in completing GSBS degree requirements. If that is impossible, students are encouraged to repair admission deficiencies during their first year at GSBS. BIOCHEMISTRY Students may repair a deficiency in biochemistry by passing Introductory Biochemistry at GSBS. BIOLOGY Students may repair a deficiency in biology by passing two semesters of any biology course at The University of Houston, Rice University and/or Houston Community College.
