Research Interests: Regulation of NFkB activity in hematologic malignancies; gene expression; cell cycle; protein phosphorylation; tumorigenesis; hematopoiesis; molecular genetics of leukemias
The research in my laboratory is directed at understanding transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms regulating gene expression in leukemias. A strong interest in our lab is in factors that affect the regulation of cell lineage determination, maturation arrest, and transformation in leukemia. Current studies in our lab focus on hematopoietic cytokines and DNA binding proteins that regulate the NFkB and p53 pathways.
A tutorial in my laboratory would provide experience with leukemias,
morphology, immunohistochemistry, FISH, Western blot, PCR, and EMSA (Electrophoretic
Mobility Shift Assay).
