Research Interests:
My primary research aims at developing novel MR imaging data acquisition and image reconstruction techniques to facilitate clinical diagnosis of tumors and to improve image quality. Examples of the techniques currently under development are fast phase-sensitive imaging (e.g., separate water and fat imaging), quantitative tissue relaxation measurement, and various techniques for improved image quality and reduced artifacts. Areas of clinical focus are body imaging, breast imaging, prostate spectroscopy and whole body MRI.
A tutorial in my group will be spent on one of the well-defined projects, tailored to the student's interest and background. Upon completion of the project, the student will gain useful insight and hands-on experience on a specific aspect of the image formation chain, as well as a comprehensive understanding in MR physics.
