Curriculum Vitae

Research Interests:

My primary research interest is quality assurance in radiation oncology. This ranges from the more traditional, measurement-based, testing of equipment operation, to quality improvement activities designed to enhance clinical radiation oncology processes. Current development activities include implementation of a calculation-based method for performing verifications of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) fields, establishment of an effective quality assurance program for our radiation oncology portal imaging systems, and incorporation of Gafchromic-film technology for IMRT QA.

Depending on the student’s interest, a tutorial under my supervision would provide the student with external-beam dose calculation and measurement experience, as well as knowledge of radiation oncology quality assurance techniques and processes.
