Research Interests:

My research interest is focused on clinical and basic research. Clinical research involves development and evaluation of new therapies, as well as critical appraisal of established clinical practice. I have developed methodology for analyzing complex biomedical data, such as arise from population-based studies of the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anticancer agents. Additionally, I collaborate with basic science researchers, applying and developing statistical techniques to help answer scientific questions from experimental data.

Students working with me would gain experience consulting with clinical investigators, analyzing data from clinical studies, and developing new methods when needed to answer scientific questions. The primary collaborative activities would be in clinical pharmacology and experimental therapeutics through interaction with the phase I and phase II programs at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
